Description

Victory 83, an International 12 Metre that needs very little introduction. She was designed by Ian Howlett and built in 1983 for Peter de Savary to complete in the Challenger Trials of 83’ where she came second, the following year she won the 12 Metre Worlds

Having been campaigned as 12 Metre her whole life, Victory 83 has been through several owners. It was her current owner who, in 2007 after a purchase from an Italian owner, went about a comprehensive refit which included replacing all deck hardware, new spars, hydraulics and most importantly reconfiguration of the cockpits to maximise the new class rules of crew size

Relaunched in 2008 after the refit and a new paint job, she went onto win the 12 Metre Worlds in 2009. Since then she has been meticulously maintained to the highest standard, racing with the very strong 12 Metre Fleet in Newport Rhode Island and claiming many race wins.

This is an amazing opportunity for a new owner or syndicate to purchase a turnkey race programme which includes everything from a world champion 12 Metre, 40ft workshop container and a 28ft chase boat.
