1979 Compass 47 was designed by Angelo Lavranos who had previously worked for Sparkman & Stephens in the 70s, this example is one of the 7 early boats built at Anchor/Compass Marine in Cape Town SA using the cold moulded technic, there was then a further 40 boats built in GRP.
‘Prelude’ is the perfect bluewater classic with a well-designed interior which can sleep ten in three cabins plus the salon, two head compartments and a midships galley. She perfectly doubles up well for classic yacht regattas which Prelude has taken part in the past – 1st in Spirit of Tradition class in Vele D'epoca Imperia, 2012 .
